Inspired by Our Founder
The DIOP Top, made of 100% wax print cotton, is the origin of our company. It is inspired by the custom shirts our co-founder Mapate’s mother would make for him. With prints and patterns inspired by the African diaspora, our clothes are made to be dressed up and down.
Print Details
This pattern is inspired by Bogolanfini (or mud cloth), a handmade Malian cotton fabric dyed with fermented mud that dates back to the 12th century. Though traditionally rendered in white on black, our pattern features a brighter navy that delivers what customers call a “neat, clean staple” to your closet.
